A new multi-family residential complex has reach completion at its project site at 1124 South Normandie Avenue in Pico-Union, Los Angeles. The project proposal included the development of a new five-story building offering spaces for residential use and onsite parking.
Los Angeles-based development firm Goodson Real Estate is the project developer. Bittoni Architects is responsible for the designs.
The five-story development broke ground in 2021. Nearing completion, the project will bring 84 apartments designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom floor plans. Additionally, a semi-subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 42 vehicles will also be designed.
Project approvals include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, permitting a larger structure than would typically be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, eight of the apartments are to be set aside as for rent as deed-restricted affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
The apartment complex will include common spaces and an open corridor.
The project site is located south of Olympic Boulevard in Pico-Union. The estimated market availability has not been revealed yet.
