A new apartment complex has started offering rental leases at 1818 North Cherokee Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal included the construction of a new multifamily residential complex rising seven-stories high and offering 86 units and onsite parking.

CGI Strategies is listed as the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the designs.

Named The Baxter, the apartment building is now leasing and sits just north of the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. The scope of work included the construction of a new seven-story building offering 86 apartments. The apartments are designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. A two-level, 61-car basement garage was developed as a part of the project. Rents for the units range between $2,500 to $3,700 per month. Floor plans range from 650 to 1,250 square feet in size.

CGI secured approvals for the project using density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules. Thus, the developer is required to set aside 21 apartments as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level.

Renderings reveal an exterior that references older residential buildings in the Hollywood. On site amenities include a gym, a clubhouse, and a rooftop pool deck.
