Construction has been finished for an affordable housing project proposed at 6604 South West Boulevard in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story affordable housing complex on a vacant site.
The non-profit A Community of Friends is the project developer. FSY Architects is responsible for the designs.
Named West Terrace, the project consists of a four-story building that will feature 64 studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments as well as on-site supportive services. Onsite amenities will include a community room, a playground, a courtyard, and a garden. The near-finished product closely resembles a conceptual rendering released at the time of the project’s groundbreaking in April 2021.
The apartments are reserved for households earning at or below 30 and 50 percent of the area median income level. The project site is located just a walk from the K Line’s Fairview Heights Station.
