A new residential project is taking shape and form at its construction site at 1201 North Myra Avenue in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of 100+ apartments in a six-story building. The project replaced an automobile repair shop on the site.
California Landmark Group is the project developer. PK Architecture is responsible for the designs.

Named The M1 apartments, the project proposes to bring a new six story building which will feature 100 residential units. The building will offer 50 parking stalls on the ground floor. Project entitlements included Transit Oriented Communities guidelines, allowing a larger building than typically allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, 10 of the new apartments are to be set aside for rent by extremely low-income households for a period of 55 years.
The proposed design resembles older residential and commercial buildings in Silver Lake with a simple exterior and black metal fire escapes. The project site is located east of the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Fountain Avenue. According to a landing page on the developer’s website, the apartment complex will also include a fitness center, a skydeck, a dipping pool, and a spa. Completion is expected in Fall 2023, although a certificate of occupancy for the building has not been issued.
