On January 14, 2021 the city of Los Angeles approved the construction of a mixed use building with the intention of serving as a space for visual and performing artists which will include office suites and self storage units. Located at 5458 North Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood this new construction will serve as a new hub of the ever growing Los Angeles art scene. The project is derived from the minds of 1784 Capital Holdings who want to aid the needs of artists of all levels and skill sets.

The new structure will be 45 feet in height and consist of four stories with one basement level. 127,371 square feet will be used for self storage units varying in size as well as 13,664 square feet reserved for office suites serving visual and performing artists amassing a total of 138,035 square feet. There will be office suites on the first to third floor, rental offices for self storage on the first floor and the remainder of the unused space in the building will be used for self storage units.
The proposed site will also include 63 parking spaces, 19 will be for electric vehicles, as well as 16 short term and 16 long term bicycle parking spaces. In addition, 12,873 square feet of solar panels will be attached to the roof. The building will have restricted hours for guests and customers but will offer unlimited access for artists who occupy the building.

The newly approved project still awaits the demolition of the one story building and parking lot that currently occupy the land. EAPC have taken up the task of architecting an open and inviting space for all who seek space for artistic endeavors.
