Construction has wrapped for a new housing project at 4760-4766 Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story supportive housing complex with onsite amenities.
Affirmed Housing Group is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
Named The Emerson, the residential project brings 39 dwelling units reserved for formerly unhoused persons. The apartments will be reserved for people earning 30 percent of the area’s median income. Onsite amenities are inclusive of a rooftop deck and supportive services. Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-style low-rise structure.
The five-story structure broke ground in early 2020. The estimated cost of construction is $24 million. According to a staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, rents for the apartments are expected to start at $509 per month.
