A new apartment building is on the rise at 1201 Myra Avenue in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a six-story apartment building, replacing an automobile repair shop. Wood framing is starting to rise at the site of the project that was approved in early 2020.
California Landmark Group is the project. PK Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
The under-construction development will be a six-story building featuring 100 apartments. A semi-subterranean garage with a capacity of 50 parking spaces will be designed on the site.
California Landmark Group entitled the project using the City of Los Angeles’ Transit-Oriented Communities guidelines, which permit larger buildings than allowed under zoning near transit when developers agree to provide on-site affordable housing. CLG will set aside ten apartments at low-income households in exchange for the incentives.
The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet. The project site is located east of the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Fountain Avenue.
