A new apartment building has been planned for development at 1420 Point View in Mid-City, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story apartment building. The project will require demolition of an existing single-family house built in the 1930s.
Hamid Bahrami is the project applicant. Uriu & Associates is designing the project.
The project will bring 23 apartments into a five-story building. The apartments will be offered as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. Underground parking for 22 vehicles will be developed within the premises.
As currently planned, the building requires the approval of Transit Oriented Communities incentives permitting a taller, denser building than allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, three of the new apartments will be set aside for rent at the extremely low-income level.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure with cantilevered balconies facing the street.
The project applications have been submitted for review. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The project site is located just south of Pico Boulevard.
