A new apartment building will soon be rising on the site located at 5552 Fulcher Avenue in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment building. The project site was previously housed a single-family residence built in the 1920s.
Los Angeles-based investors Michel Welter and Stephane Le cam are the project applicants. Minarc is responsible for the design concepts.
The proposed project will construct a six-story building offering 30 residential units. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments above a 16-car basement parking garage.
Project applicants are seeking entitlements using Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger building than allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, four of the new apartments will be set aside for rent as affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
Renderings depict a contemporary podium-type building. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The project site is an empty lot located two blocks from Metro’s North Hollywood Station.
