A new residential project has been proposed for development at 736 East Vernon Avenue in South Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-income housing complex. The project will replace an early 20th century home on the site.
CLS Vernon, LLC is the project applicant. Synchronis is designing the apartment complex.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 28,000 square feet. Plans call for the construction of a four-story building offering 48 residential units. The residences are offered as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. 54 parking stalls in a street-level garage will also be provided on the site.
The proposed apartment complex requested conditional use permit and density bonus to permit a larger building that would be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, the developer is required to set aside 13 of the apartments would be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level.
Renderings reveal a facade in modern look of metal, stucco, and concrete. Los Angeles City Planning Commission voted to approve plans. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
