A new residential project has been proposed for development at 4820 South Central Avenue in Central-Alameda, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering space for apartments. The project will replace a 1920s commercial building on the site.

Chris Limon is the project applicant. Corbel Architects is responsible for the designs.

The proposed development calls for razing the existing structures, consisting of 2,000 square feet of commercial space, in order to make way for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 25 apartments. No on-site parking is proposed.

Requested entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives which would permit a larger structure than otherwise permitted by zoning rules. In exchange, two of the new apartments would be set aside for rent as affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.

Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure. The existing building was last sold in 2016. An application was submitted earlier this week to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning. The project awaits review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
