A new supportive housing project has been proposed for development at 1251 North Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim. The project proposal includes the redevelopment of a three-story motel building to provide supportive housing units.
Linc Housing is the project developer. Y&M Architects and Sun Country Builders are the design team.
Studio 6 Motel will soon be known as The North Harbor Apartments. The scope of work includes the conversion of 87 homes reserved for Orange County residents that are unhoused or prone to becoming unhoused. The apartments are to be priced for households earning up to 30 percent of the area’s median income level.
Other than residential spaces, the project will also offer onsite residential services like mental and physical healthcare, employment counseling, job placement, substance use counseling, money management, and referrals to other services.
The motel showcases a Spanish Mediterranean design with 119 guest rooms ready for conversion. Proposed outdoor spaces include a central courtyard seating, a community garden and a dog park.
The project is one of the four Project Homekey projects from Linc Housing in Orange County. The project received financing from Capital One, tax credit equity from Raymond James Tax Credit Funds, Inc., and other resources provided by the City of Anaheim. The supportive housing complex is anticipated to be inaugurated in Summer 2025.
