A new affordable housing project has reached completion at 110 South Boyle Avenue in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. The project proposal included the construction of a new five-story mixed-use building offering spaces for residential and retail uses.

Azure Development and Many Mansions are listed as the project developers. Y&M Architects is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work included the construction of a five-story mixed-use project offering affordable housing and retail space. Named La Guadalupe, the affordable housing complex is a five-story complex offering 44 dwelling units designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. The mixed-use also brings 7,100 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 41-car garage.

The affordable housing will be reserved for households under the categories of very low-income and extremely low-income households. Plans call for facilities for on-site case management, financial education courses, food assistance, transportation assistance, and life skills training.

Renderings reveal a podium-style structure designed with masonry veneer and fiber cement boards. Onsite amenities include rooftop decks, podium decks, and a community room.

The project scored financing from various state and local sources, such as Measure HHH and low-income housing tax credits. Market availability of the affordable housing has not been announced yet. The project site is located close to the Mariachi Plaza subway station in Boyle Heights
