A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 4217 East Live Oak Avenue in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new affordable housing complex on an empty lot in the unincorporated community of Mayflower Village.
Affirmed Housing Group of San Diego is the project developer.
Named Elara, the complex will offer 95 apartments designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 23 vehicles will be provided on the site. The apartments will be available for rent by low- and very low-income households.
Renderings reveal a Mediterranean-style building standing six stories in height.
The project is expected to break ground in late December 2024 and wrap up in early 2028. Construction cost is estimated at $50 million.
