A new residential project is under construction almost reaching completion at 5100 North Bakman Avenue in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story building offering 65 apartments. The new development replaced a two-story apartment building on the site.
Nir Paz is listed as the project owner and applicant. Amit Apel Design is listed as the project architect.
New permits have been issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. The project was approved by the Planning Department in 2022.
The scope of work includes the development of a new six-story building featuring 65 apartments. The units will be designed as studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. Basement parking for 49 vehicles will also be developed on the site.
Project entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger building than allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, 14 apartments are to be reserved as affordable housing at the low-, very low-, and extremely low-income levels.
Renderings reveal a contemporary building featuring an exterior in red, white, and blue.
