A new affordable housing project has been approved for development at 7770 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new eight-story building offering 213 affordable units. The project site is developed with empty residential buildings, slated for demolition.
Jeffrey Sedacca of AMS Hollywood, LLC and CGS Hollywood, LLC are listed as the project applicants. 64North is designing the project.
Los Angeles Planning Department has approved the proposal to redevelop the project site near the Los Angeles-West Hollywood border. The project site will soon be developed with a new eight-story affordable housing complex. The units will be designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 25 vehicles will also be developed on the premises.
The proposal made use of the streamlining provisions of Executive Directive 1, and hence would be restricted to rent by low- and moderate-income households.
Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-style building. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
