Landsea Homes has finalized the acquisition of 70 homesites for its upcoming residential project, Canopy, situated in Ontario, California. The project will bring new three-story townhomes to Ontario, meeting the rising need for housing in the region. The site is located at 1355 West 5th Street, nestled between El Camino Elementary School and the Ontario First Church of the Nazarene.

The Canopy will offer 70 townhomes, each spanning between 1,532 and 1,739 square feet. These homes will offer floor plans of three to four bedrooms and up to four bathrooms. Sales are anticipated to commence by the end of 2025, with pricing details to be disclosed closer to the launch date.

This initiative adds to Landsea Homes’ expanding presence in the region, complementing existing communities such as Eave and Rubi + Peri in Ontario, as well as Narra Hills in neighboring North Fontana. According to Tom Baine, California Division President, the Canopy project underscores the company’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of Southern California’s high-demand markets.

Each residence within Canopy will feature Landsea’s High Performance Home design, focusing on smart home automation and sustainable living. Homes will be equipped with Apple Home™-compatible technology, including a HomePod mini™, smart locks, thermostats, garage controls, and ecobee video doorbells. These features are supported by comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage and will be activated through Best Buy’s Geek Squad services, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and promote healthier indoor environments.

The community will also offer shared amenities, including open spaces with electric barbecues, picnic areas, and lounge seating. Residents will benefit from access to educational institutions within the Ontario-Montclair School District for grades K-8 and the Chaffey Joint Union High School District for grades 9–12.

Strategically located, Canopy provides residents with proximity to key transportation and recreational facilities. Ontario International Airport is less than three miles away, while attractions such as Ontario Mills Mall, the Ontario Museum of History & Art, and the California Botanic Garden in Claremont are easily accessible. This location appeals to buyers seeking modern homes that offer both urban connectivity and suburban comfort.

Through the Canopy project, Landsea Homes continues to reinforce its position as a leading developer of smart, energy-efficient homes in Southern California’s dynamic housing landscape. For more information on current and upcoming communities, visit landseahomes.com/southern-california.
