Along Centinela Avenue in Del Rey, a small lot subdivision proposed for 4437-4445 Centinela Avenue presents a defined street edge shaped by a series of four-story residential volumes. The project replaces two former single-family houses with eight vertically oriented homes whose façades step back and forward in response to grade changes and lot geometry visible along the sidewalk.
The project is designed by Payson Denney Architects. Centaurus, LP is listed as the project developer.

Plans depict the homes organized in two parallel rows, with the Centinela-facing buildings presenting garage doors and primary entries at ground level. Landscaping and low retaining walls frame the interface between private units and the public right-of-way, while upper floors introduce balconies and window groupings that break down the elevation into stacked horizontal bands.
Vehicular access is handled internally, with a shared driveway separating the two rows of homes. This internal circulation reduces curb cuts along Centinela Avenue and concentrates garage access within the site, allowing the street-facing façades to remain continuous across most of the frontage.
Each structure rises four stories, with two-car garages at grade and three-bedroom layouts above. Rooftop decks cap the buildings, adding a final occupied layer that is set back from the street-facing edges, as shown in the aerial renderings. The buildings are shown as wood-frame construction with a contemporary exterior treatment.
The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
