A new affordable housing project has been revealed at 1451 West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal included the development of 50 new apartments available as affordable housing. The project site previously housed Alex Fish Market.
SoLa Impact is the project developer. EGGG Inc is responsible for the designs.
The project was under construction for the last year. Now, a new multifamily residential complex can be seen on the project site. The new development features a five-story building offering 50 affordable units. The units are designed as one-bedroom floor plans on top of a community room at ground level.
SoLa Impact secured approvals using Transit Oriented Communities development incentives to permit a larger building than allowed by zoning rules. No parking has been included.
