A new residential project is under construction taking shape and form at 1915 West Park Avenue in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new seven-story multifamily residential complex.
CIM Group is the project developer. Abramson Architects is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of a seven-story building offering 36 apartments overlooking Echo Park. The units are designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom floor pans. Parking for 18 vehicles will be provided in a semi-subterranean parking garage.
CIM Group purchased the landmark Rolf K. McPherson building in 2022 and entitles a portion of that site for residential development. Project entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, allowing for greater density and floor area than otherwise permitted by zoning rules. In exchange, four of the new apartments will be set aside for rent as extremely low-income affordable housing.
Renderings reveal an exterior designed in white stucco and corrugated metal panels. Onsite amenities include a rooftop deck.
The project site is located just south of Sunset Boulevard. The estimated completion date and market availability have not been revealed yet.
