A new affordable housing complex celebrated a ground breaking ceremony at its site located at 1400 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story affordable housing complex.
Meta Housing Corp is listed as the project developer. The Architects Collective is responsible for the designs. KPRS is the contractor.
A ground breaking ceremony was held on July 19, initiating the construction of a new six-story affordable housing complex offering 163 apartments. The apartments are designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Onsite amenities include a community room, an outdoor courtyard, and a children’s play area.
The project is expected to cost approximately $87.6 million and will cater to households earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area’s median income level.
The project site is located along the east side of Long Beach Boulevard at its intersection with 14th Street. The project is on track to open in mid-2026.
