A new senior affordable housing project is under construction taking shape and form at 14513 Central Avenue in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story building featuring 54 apartments for seniors.

Retirement Housing Foundation is listed as the project developer. Birbagroup Architects is responsible for the designs. Walton Construction is the general contractor.

Named Central Metro Place, the scope of work includes the construction of a new four-story building featuring 54 apartments for residents aged 62 and above, as well as one apartment for on-site staff.

In addition to housing, other features of the development will include offices for staff, a gym, a laundry facility, an arts and craft room, a courtyard, a community room, and on-site social services for residents. Raised planter boxes at the rear of the site will allow residents to grow flowers and vegetables.

The project received funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City of Baldwin Park, Wells Fargo, and Citi Community Capital.

The project site is located near the Baldwin Park Metrolink station. The estimated availability has not been revealed yet.
