A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at a 7-06 West 85th Street in South Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new four-story building offering dwelling units at affordable rates.

Logos Faith Development is listed as the project applicant. JZA Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the development of a four-story building offering 62 apartments. The apartment will be designed as one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. A ground-floor parking garage will also be developed on the site. All apartments will be fully restricted to rent by low-income and moderate-income households, with the exception of one manager’s unit. The project is eligible for density bonus incentives permitting waivers from certain development standards.

A project application has been submitted using Executive Directive 1. The project site is owned by a local church, St. Rest Friendship Church. The existing onsite building fronts Manchester Avenue one block south.

The project is a part of project applications facilitated by SB 4, which was signed into law by Governor Newsom in 2023.
