A 100% affordable housing proposal has been filed for 7220 Owensmouth Avenue in Canoga Park, calling for a seven-story residential building. City Planning’s entry identifies the project as a “100% RED1” (ED1) affordable development containing 70 residential units. An existing commercial structure on the parcel would be demolished prior to new construction.

City records list the applicant as Warner Mega Properties, LLC, with KSK Design, Inc. noted as the project architect.

The application lists 70 units split among one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. Parking is planned within a two-level structure totaling 92 spaces. The site sits north of Sherman Way within the Canoga Park–Winnetka–Woodland Hills–West Hills Community Plan area.

Submitted application describes podium-style massing with residential levels over a structured base.

The filing falls within the Downtown Canoga Park Community Design Overlay (CDO), which imposes objective design standards for new projects along the commercial corridors. Because the submittal is flagged as ED1, the application is processed ministerially with expedited clearances for 100% affordable housing.

The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
