A hotel development has been approved at 11410 Menlo Avenue in Hawthorne, where plans call for replacing a former vehicle storage lot with a new multi-story hotel building. The project received approval from the Hawthorne Planning Commission.
Project materials describe a six-story building totaling approximately 47,000 square feet and containing 57 hotel rooms. Parking would be provided on site for 57 vehicles, matching the number of guest rooms. The project applicant is ZS Development Corp., and the property is owned by MA Equities.

According to a staff report, the hotel would include several shared amenities in addition to guest rooms. These include an indoor lounge, patio dining space, a rooftop terrace, and a fitness center, all integrated within the building program.

Architectural plans for the project are prepared by AO. Renderings depict a contemporary six-story structure with a parking podium at lower levels, extensive glazing at the ground floor, and regularly spaced windows across the upper floors. Hotel signage is shown along the building’s upper façades.
If constructed, the project would introduce a new hotel use at the Menlo Avenue site, replacing the parcel with a purpose-built hotel building.
