A new residential project has been proposed at 230 North Soto Street in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of an affordable housing building and the demolition of a duplex built in the 1920s.
Los Angeles-based real estate development firm Eleos is the project developer.
The developer is seeking entitlements to demolish the two existing residences on the site. Named Tethys Apartments, the project will bring forty-two residential units to a four-story building. The residences will be offered entirely as one-bedroom units. On-site amenities include a rear yard and a small rooftop deck.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure. Eleos is also seeking entitlements for the project using Transit Oriented Communities incentives to build the project without on-site automobile parking, among other concessions from zoning restrictions.
The property site is located near Cesar Chavez & Soto Street, adjacent to L Line. The project sits near other mixed-use and affordable housing projects.
