Los Angeles City Planning Commission has signed off a proposal for a hotel at 5057 Lankershim Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story building offering hotel rooms, retail, and restaurant spaces.
Agoura Hills-based real estate firm Napa Industries, LLC is the project developer. AXIS/GFA is responsible for the design concepts.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 30,000 square feet. Plans call for the construction of a seven-story building featuring 125 hotel rooms. Retail space spanning an area of 9,350 square feet will be designed on the ground floor. The building will also offer retail and restaurant space and an 85-car garage on the site.
Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type structure clad in a combination of metal, cement, and stucco. Plans call for a V-shaped footprint above street level, wrapping a rear-facing loading dock and parking area. A conference facility, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool deck are also proposed.
Construction of the hotel is expected to occur over a two-year period starting as early as this year and concluding in 2024.
The property site sits a few blocks south of North Hollywood Station, at the northwest corner of Lankershim Boulevard and Hesby Street.
