The City of Los Angeles has approved plans to replace an existing commercial property with a contemporary residential and retail building, adding to the steady wave of mid-rise construction along the Pico corridor. Pico Fairfax LLC is listed as the applicant, with design work led by AFCO Design.

A new residential project will soon be seen at 5863-5879 West 3rd Street in Fairfax, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of an apartment complex. Plans call for the demolition of a couple of commercial buildings and two adjoining surface parking lots on the site. Local real estate firm Conroy Commercial is the project applicant. West Pacifica Design and Harmony Garden are responsible for the design concepts.
