Global real estate firm, Silverstein Properties, announced plans for a $60 million capital improvement program for the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles. The proposed program intends to upgrade and reposition the tower.

A+I and Jeffrey Beers International are leading the design concepts and improvements.

The new upgrades across 35,000 square feet of common spaces will include redesigning the main entrance and lobby. On-site amenities are inclusive of a new day-t0-night juice and cocktail bar, a grab-and-go market, seating, and common areas.

Silverstein also plans a new amenity arena on the 54th floor, with panoramic views of the city, food and beverage options, and event space. The developer also proposed a full elevator modernization program.

Building upgrades will begin in summer 2021 and are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2022.

Located on the 54th floor, the vista will feature a co-working lounge, a fireplace, and relaxed seating.

Silverstein is also introducing its customer experience program, INSPIRE, which offers a variety of services from booking flexible meeting spaces to building-wide programming and events all accessible via the INSPIRE app.

Silverstein Properties acquired the U.S. Bank Tower in September 2020. U.S. Bank Tower was designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and built in 1989 by Maguire Properties. Located near the Pershing Square Metro station, it is the second tallest tower in Los Angeles at 1,018 feet, and one of the most prominent buildings on the city skyline.
