Site preparation makes its way for containing an affordable housing project at 2721 Wilshire Boulevard in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal consists of constructing a new supportive housing complex with on-site parking and other residential amenities.
Los Angeles Housing Partnership is the owner of the building. McCormack Baron Salazar is the project developer.
The project site is a surface parking lot situated next to the historic Bryson Building near La Fayette Park. The new housing project will feature 62 units offered as a mix of studios and one-bedroom dwellings. On-site amenities include a laundry facility, a management office, a fitness center, a rooftop deck, and a common room for its residents. A parking space with a capacity of 20 vehicles is also proposed.
The building will rise to a height of six stories. The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet.
The units will be priced at levels considered affordable to individuals and families earning between 30 and 50 percent of the area’s median income. Additionally, more than half of the apartments will be set aside for formerly homeless persons.
The locality can be seen budding with various residential projects surrounding La Fayette Park.
