Large-scale residential development is under construction in the Little Saigon District, Westminster. The project proposal includes the construction of 200 apartments. The project broke ground in March 2020 and now wood framing can be seen above the street level. The development is a part of a bigger project named Bolsa Row.
KTGY Architecture + Planning is managing the design concepts and construction. RD Olson Construction is the project developer.
The project site is a parcel that spans an area of six acres. The project will bring an apartment complex measuring an area of 225,000 square feet, a Wyndham hotel, and retail space. Parking spaces in a series of low-rise structures are also proposed on the site.
The apartment complex is a five-story edifice featuring 200 apartments offered as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom dwelling units. The attached retail space is allotted an area of 37,500 square feet.
The planned Wyndham hotel will rise to a five-story façade as well, offering 148 guest rooms, 48,000 square feet of banquet space, food and beverage venues, and amenities. Parking space with a capacity of 700 vehicles will be in the subterranean garage.
The project is estimated to reach completion in late 2021.
The architecture style of the complex is inspired by French colonial style elements and will incorporate similar styles as of Vietnam’s Bến Thành Market clock tower.
The property is located at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Brookhurst Street.
