A mixed-use project is under construction at 336 West 7th Street In Downtown San Pedro. The project proposal includes the construction of an apartment building with retail space, replacing a surface parking lot and a small commercial building.
Local real estate developers Mountain Pacific, South Bay Developers, and Ark Construction & Development are the project developers. Breen Engineering is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The mixed-use project will bring a new five-story edifice featuring 32 apartments. Retail space spanning an area of 3,750 square feet will be developed on the ground floor. A parking garage with a capacity of 44 cars will be constructed on the site. The building will include three apartments reserved as deed-restricted affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-style building, inclusive of on-site amenities like a fitness room, a courtyard, and a rooftop deck.
The project is estimated at $14 million. Vertical construction is now more than halfway finished, and the project is expected to open in 2022.
