Construction is underway for a new townhome development proposed at 1515 178th Street in Gardena, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of 114 new townhomes. Plans call for the demolition of an existing light industrial building.
Irvine-based real estate development firm Melia Homes is the project developer.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 5 acres. Named One Seven Eight, the project will bring a series of three-story residential structures containing a total of 114 townhomes. The townhome community will offer residences as a mix of two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom units. The floor plans range from 1,528 to 1,795 square feet in size.
Site plans reveal that townhomes will be arranged around a network of private streets, green spaces, and amenities accessible to residents and guests. Sales prices for the remaining houses start in the $700,000s, according to the sales website.
The property site is located south of Artesia Boulevard, between Normandie Avenue and Western Avenue.
