New supportive housing is under construction at 12003 South Main Street in Broadway-Manchester in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story permanent supportive housing.

San-Diego based firm Affirmed Housing Group is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Named Dahlia Apartments, the project will bring residential units to a five-story building. The residences will be offered as a mix of 56 studios and one-bedroom apartments reserved for persons earning up to 30 percent of the area’s median income.

The cost of construction is estimated at $30 million. Rents for the apartments at Dahlia are expected to be $548 per month for a studio unit, and $587 per month for a one-bedroom apartment.

Renderings reveal a podium-type building, highlighted by cascading terrace decks. On-site amenities are inclusive of a laundry facility, a community room, and offices for supportive services.

The project site is located at the intersection of 120th Street and Main Street, just under a mile south of Imperial Highway and Broadway.
