A new modular housing project is taking shape at 5123 South Broadway in South Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of modular units. The project replaced a mortuary on the site.
The project is a joint venture between HBG Construction Corp. and Aedis Real Estate Group. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts.
Prefabricated modular units are now being assembled into place at the site. Named Hope on Broadway, the project will be a new permanent supportive housing complex in South Los Angeles. The construction will bring a new building featuring 49 studios and one-bedroom apartments and supportive services. The units will be assembled at a site located on the northeast corner of 52nd Street and Broadway.
Renderings reveal an exterior of metal of the building providing onsite amenities such as a courtyard and a rooftop deck.
The approximately $22.2-million development is expected to offer rents ranging from $768 to $913 per month. The same developer is building similar projects in Willowbrook and Hyde Park.
