An affordable housing project for seniors broke ground at 900-920 East Broadway in Glendale. The project proposal includes the development of an apartment complex with 127 residential units reserved for senior citizens.
Meta Housing Corp is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the design concepts.

Named Citrus Crossing, the apartment complex will rise on a publicly-owned land, controlled by the Glendale Housing Authority. The project site spans an area of 1.6 acres. Plans call for the construction of 127 residential units reserved for seniors earning between 30-70 percent of the area’s median income. The apartment complex will span a residential area of 142,550 square feet.
In addition, the project will include an 8,000-square-foot plaza, a rooftop deck, two community rooms, a senior services room, and a two-level subterranean parking garage. The apartment complex’s design is targeting LEED Platinum Certification.

Construction has commenced and the apartment complex is scheduled for completion in Spring 2024.
The project site, formerly a school for disabled children, was acquired by the Glendale Housing Authority in October 2019 for $12.1 million, with the expressed intention of preserving it for affordable housing development.

How can I get on a wating list. I am a low income senior citizen who lives in Glendale and my rent keeps going up. I tried so many times to get in to law income apartment wating list but it’s just impossible because of the lottery rules. I am praying for some miracle, before I’ll end up on the streets 🙏
