A new residential project is under construction, taking form and shape at 5215 Figueroa Street in Vermont Square, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a supporting housing complex with modular units.

RMG Housing is the project developer. Torrance-based Breen Engineering is responsible for the design concepts.

Just over one year after breaking ground, the project is taking the shape of a four-story structure offering 40 residential units. The supportive housing complex will also offer on-site case managers to connect residents with supportive services and resources.

Renderings showcase a low-rise structure. RMG Housing is financing the project in part through a $7-million loan from SDS Capital Group’s SDS Supportive Housing Fund, which is tailored for permanent supportive housing projects.

The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The property site is located at the northwest corner of 52nd Street and Figueroa Street.
