A new mixed-use project is under construction at 420 Atlantic Boulevard in Monterey Park. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use offering space for hotel, retail, and residential uses. The project replaced a 55-room motel and a 13-unit apartment building.
Pacific Plaza Premier is the project developer.
Named Pacific Plaza Monterey Park, the project is rising on a site spanning an area of two acres. The five-story building features a 136-room hotel, 84 residential units, and 7,125 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise complex with a six-story hotel block facing Atlantic to the west and a smaller five-story residential structure fronting Chandler Avenue to the east.
The estimated completion date and market availability have not been announced yet.
