Apartment Building Rises At 5877 West 3rd Street, La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles

A new residential project is under construction at 5877 West 3rd Street in La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story building offering residential units and onsite parking. A commercial building that once housed a laundromat has made way for the multifamily housing.

The owner of the site as an entity affiliated with Conroy Commercial, while the project’s architect is Edward Carlson.

The multifamily housing project will be a six-story building offering 46 apartments above ground-floor parking. According to building permits, plans call for five units of extremely low-income affordable housing, making the project eligible for Transit Oriented Communities incentives permitting a larger structure otherwise allowed by zoning.

The project site is located two blocks west of La Brea Avenue in the Fairfax neighborhood. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
