Affordable Housing Taking Shape At 1120 25th Street In Central Alameda

A new residential project is taking shape and form at 1120 25th Street in Central Alameda. The project proposal includes the development of affordable housing units. The project replaced a duplex located on the site that was built in the 1940s.

Shawn Mahdavian is listed as the project applicant.

Permits were issued one year ago by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. The project is on track to construct 20 apartments, including 16 low-income affordable units, two extremely low-income units, and one very low-income unit. Onsite parking is not provided as a part of the project, in accordance with AB 744.

The estimated construction timeline and market availability have not been announced yet. The project site sits just east of Central Avenue.
