A new apartment complex is rising, taking form and shape at its project site at 1110 South Spaulding Avenue in Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story apartment complex offering spaces for residential use and onsite parking. The new development replaced a single-family home from the 1930s on the site near the Asterisk.
Miranda Capital Group LLC is the project developer. Uriu & Associates is responsible for the designs.

Named C&D Homes, the proposed project is under construction an irregularly-shaped parcel that has frontage on San Vicente Boulevard to the north. Plans call for a six-story apartment complex rising 60 feet in height. Upon completion, the building will feature 26 apartments, designed as a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. The building will also include townhome-style units. Parking for 32 vehicles will be provided on the site.

Project entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives permitting a larger structure than allowed by base zoning rules. In exchange, three of the new apartments are to be set aside for rent as extremely low-income affordable housing.

Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure. Onsite amenities include a rooftop deck and a yoga studio. Construction for the project is anticipated to finish in early 2025.
The project team also includes Harpco Construction and Development Services Financing was arranged by Lending Bee of LBC Capital Income Fund, LLC.
