A new residential project has wrapped up construction at 1232-1248 West 223rd Street in Normandie Avenue, West Carson, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of 58 townhome available for sale.
KB Home is the project developer.
Named Orchid, the project brings for-sale townhomes that have almost reached completion at an L-shaped property lot located on the southeast corner of 223rd Street and Normandie Avenue. The site was approved in 2018 for the construction of 58 attached townhomes in a mix of four-bedroom floor plans. The residences range from 1,600 to 1,700 square feet in size. Each home includes its own patio, although the gated complex is also being built with shared amenities such as a community gathering area, a dog park and half basketball court.
At the time the completion of the project’s first model units was announced in mid-2022, prices were starting in the $770,000s. The project site was entitled for construction by Torrance-based Maupin Development, Inc., and required the approval of a general plan amendment and a conditional use permit by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
