A project application has been submitted seeking the approval of an affordable housing project at 5326 North Figueroa Street in Highland Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new four-story building offering 35 residential units at affordable rates.
Henry Chen of Side Hustle Holdings, LLC is the project applicant. Aaron Brumer & Associates is responsible for the designs. Savage Land Design is the landscape architect.
The project site is an empty parcel spanning an area of 19,500 square feet. Plans call for bringing 35 apartments into a four-story building. The apartments will be designed as studios and one-bedroom floor plans.
The project developed seeks to execute the project via the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. The project site is eligible for AB 2097.
Requested density bonus incentives include allowances for greater height and density without on-site vehicular parking.
Renderings showcase a contemporary design for the four-story low-rise structure. The property is located within a half-mile of the A Line’s Highland Park Station. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
