A new residential project has been proposed for development at 1633 26th Street in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the development of a new eight-story building offering more than 300 apartments, commercial space, and onsite parking. Plans call for the demolition of an existing three-story structure and surface parking lot on the site.

Holland Partner Group is the project developer. Kilroy Realty is the property owner. AC Martin is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the development of an eight-story building offering 370 apartment units, commercial space, and a subterranean parking garage. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Commercial space spanning an area of 2,400 square feet will be developed on the ground floor. Additionally, parking for 527 vehicles in a subterranean garage.

The proposed development would utilize density bonus incentives. In exchange, 37 apartments would be set aside for rent as a mix of moderate-, low-, and very low-income housing.

A project application has been submitted to the City of Santa Monica seeking approvals. Previously, the project site was slated to house an office building. Plans for the same were paused in 2022. The project site is located near Bergamot Station in Santa Monica.
