The initiative would replace an existing office building and surface parking lot with an eight-story structure housing 330 homes, along with supporting amenities and a connective pedestrian route. Orr Partners is the project developer. Tighe Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The six-story development, backed by Community Corp. of Santa Monica, is set to deliver 71 income-restricted apartments just south of Colorado Avenue. Community Corp., a long-standing nonprofit builder of affordable housing, is spearheading the project. Architecture is being led by Kevin Tsai Architecture, which has prepared updated plans for the nearly 67,000-square-foot building.
