A new multi-family housing project is under construction taking shape and form at 10915 West Strathmore Drive in Westwood. The residential units will be reserved for UCLA students, and will include a combined total of 166 bedrooms.

Landmark Properties is the project developer. LOHA is responsible for the designs.

Named The Mark, the multi-family housing complex is fully framed, and upon completion will bring 37 residential units into a seven-story building. The units will be designed as a mix of two-bedroom, three-bedroom, four-bedroom, and five-bedroom floor plans.

Approved plans made use of density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than zoning rules would typically allow. In exchange, five of the new apartments are to be set aside for rent by very low-income individuals.

Renderings reveal a symmetrical design in cubic shapes that create terrace decks and common courtyards for use by residents. The building material will be fiber cement boards and corrugated metal panels.

The project site is located west of the UCLA campus. Landmark acquired the site from the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, which had owned the land and the church which was built on the property in the mid-1950s.

The estimated market availability has not been announced yet.
