A new small-scale mixed-use project is under construction taking shape and form at 1701 West Artist Boulevard, Manhattan Beach. The project calls for the development of two-story buildings offering spaces for residential and retail uses. The project replaced two small commercial and residential buildings.
1701 Artesia LLC, a Torrance-based entity is listed as the property owner. Obelisk Architects is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of 12 one-bedroom and two-bedroom condominiums, with a single commercial unit at the ground level. Renderings showcase a series of connected two-story structures, with a small pool deck located at the rear of the site.
Plans were approved in 2018 by the Manhattan Beach Planning Commission. The project site is located on a corner lot just west of Aviation Boulevard.
The property is currently listed for sale with an asking price of $20 million. Construction of the project will be finished by October 2025.
