Construction activity is now visible along Inglewood Boulevard in unincorporated Lennox, where a new multifamily residential development is rising just south of Century Boulevard. The project at 10200 Inglewood Boulevard replaces a previously underutilized parcel with a mid-rise apartment building, adding new housing in a transit-accessible corridor near Los Angeles International Airport.
The development, led by Vargas Properties, consists of a five-story residential structure containing 136 apartments. Approved plans indicate a unit mix composed of studio and one-bedroom layouts. The project does not include on-site vehicle parking, a design choice consistent with its proximity to regional transit routes and nearby employment centers.
Project entitlements include the use of density bonus provisions, allowing the building to exceed base zoning standards in exchange for the inclusion of deed-restricted affordable housing. Under the approved conditions, 12 of the apartments are reserved for households earning between 30 and 80 percent of the area median income, expanding access to income-restricted housing in an area with limited new residential supply.
Design and engineering responsibilities for the project are attributed to Rahman Engineering, according to Los Angeles County permit records. Current construction activity shows vertical framing underway, signaling continued progress following site preparation and foundation work.
Once completed, the Lennox project will add new residential density to Inglewood Boulevard, contributing to gradual infill growth in unincorporated Los Angeles County. The development reflects a broader pattern of mid-rise housing construction emerging in communities surrounding major transportation corridors and employment hubs.
