A new 45-unit affordable housing development is all set to be inaugurated at 7301 South Broadway in Florence, South Los Angeles. The project site spans an area of 6,434 square feet. The site previously housed a single-story, 2,100-square-foot commercial building.
R2H Development is listed as the project developer. JZA Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the construction of a four-story residential complex totaling 16,868 square feet. The development will consist of 44 income-restricted apartments and one non-restricted manager’s unit. Most of the residences will be studio units ranging from 261 to 354 square feet, along with three one-bedroom units measuring 375 square feet. No vehicle parking is required for the site under current zoning regulations.
Featured design includes a rooftop deck with planted areas, providing shared outdoor space for residents. Additional amenities will include a communal recreation room which may also accommodate supportive services in the future. Renderings for the project illustrate a modern facade clad in fiber cement panels, with ground-floor entrances and landscaped frontage. The building massing includes recessed sections and upper-level articulation to reduce visual bulk while providing natural light to interior units.

The new complex will be located near the intersection of Broadway and 73rd Street. Situated along a major commercial corridor, the project benefits from close proximity to multiple Metro bus routes and is 0.1 miles from Florence Avenue, a key arterial with public transit connections. The location has a Walk Score of 78, reflecting good walkability for local services and amenities.
