Work is now underway at 728 Lagoon Avenue in Wilmington, where Holos Communities is advancing a new residential development known as Safe Harbor II. The project introduces supportive housing on a site slated for new construction.
The proposal centers on a four-story building containing 40 units in total. Nearly all of the apartments are intended for supportive housing, with only a single unit designated for non-supportive use.
Beyond the residential component, the building is planned with a range of integrated spaces intended to serve residents on-site. These include multiple open-air courtyards, a shared garden area, interior common space, and offices for service providers and management staff.
LOHA is responsible for the architectural design. The building is depicted with a simplified exterior composed of light and dark tones, using a restrained palette and straightforward massing to define its form.
The Lagoon Avenue development is part of a broader pipeline from Holos Communities, which is also pursuing a nearby project at 828 Anaheim Street.
